TRAILS
Copeland Forest Trail
Located at 2289 Nursery Rd, Midhurst, Copeland forest is full of towering maple, oak, beech, and evergreen trees. The trail is part of the 200 km Ganaraska Trail from Port Hope to Glen Huron. Within the forest, there are a variety of trails, so you can tailor the length of your cycle to your personal preference.
North Simcoe Rail Trail
Located in Midhurst, north of Highway 90, the North Simcoe Rail trail is over 30 km of unpaved gravel trail. The trail borders the Minesing Wetlands, Historic Fort Willow, and Mayer’s Marsh, making for a scenic trip. The trail connects to the Nine Mile Portage at the southern end and Tiny Trail at the north end.
Fort Willow Portage Trail
Located in Springwater Township, the trail overlooks the Minesing Swamp and connects to the Nine Mile Portage. You must pay a fee to enter this trail.
Tiffin Centre for Conservation
Located at 8th Concession in Essa, 4km south of Hwy 90. Here there are 17 km of looped trails that explore wetlands, forests, meadows and ancient lake beds.
