The Barrie Women's Hockey Association hosts the Winter Classic
The Barrie Sharks Winter Classic is one of Ontario's fastest growing female hockey tournaments. The inaugural edition welcomed close to 41 teams to Barrie in 2023, and grew to 61 teams in 2024. And for 2025, we're planning for the Winter Classic to be bigger and better than ever, with a projected 70+ teams!

Competitive Divisions: U9-B, Senior A/BB/B/C
House League Divisions: U9, U11, U13, U15, U18
Our unique tournament schedule takes advantage of the long weekend to avoid additional days off work/school:
Saturday and Sunday: preliminary round games
Holiday Monday: playoffs and Championship finals
