The Barrie Concert Band
The Barrie Concert Band has been in continual existence since 1870 and is deemed to be the oldest music organization in the City of Barrie. Comprised of 55 men and women from all walks of life, varying in age from late teens to mid-80's.
Over the years the Barrie Concert Band has fulfilled a year-round musical role in Barrie by participating in various city events, presenting regular winter and summer concerts, and providing music at local churches and seniors' homes. The band performs an average of 8 concerts over the calendar year, every year.
