Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) has 12 Conservation Areas. Most of our 12,000 acres of land are considered wilderness or natural lands. The NVCA watershed is approximately 3,700 square kilometers and spans through the counties of Simcoe, Dufferin and Grey. Our Conservation Areas include significant landform features such as the Minesing Wetlands, Niagara Escarpment, Oak Ridges Moraine, Oro Moraine, Osprey Wetlands and Georgian Bay shoreline.

Some sites of particular interest for wildlife viewing include:

The Tiffin Centre
8195 8th Line, Utopia, Ontario
Interpretative signs can be found along 17 km of trail routes, marking various bird and tree species.
Help support the NVCA by getting your local maple syrup at the Tiffin Centre. You can visit the centre to pick up the syrup or order yours online

Group Camping
The Tiffin Conservation Area offers two group campgrounds for approved groups of up to 50 people. Larger groups may be accommodated with the rental of additional outdoor toilets. The peaceful campgrounds offer plenty of flat ground for tenting and grassy areas perfect for playing games. It also includes a lockable storage shed, “dry” outhouses, firepits and a stone fireplace.
